Interview at CBC Radio

It was my pleasure to offer my viewpoint in an interview broadcast live on the French Radio show ''Le Café Show'' this morning. We focused on the additional delays that the pandemic has created for the Citizenship applications going from 12 months to 19 months in many cases. This is a problem with many people waiting for their Citizenship because in many cases their Permanent Resident card expired which prevents them from returning to Canada should they choose to travel outside Canada. The delay to get a new PR card is significant in most cases as well and obtaining a Travel document to return to Canada is mired with further delays as well. We also discussed the changes IRCC has implemented to more easily manage in the time of a pandemic with online solutions for the Citizenship test as well as for the Citizenship Ceremony.
